Buffalo Lil is preparing for a town council election
by sharpening her claws on a fence post.
She is one mean
green eyed
black cat.

She wants a one way street system
even if it forces people to drive
in a ten kilometre circle.

“Everybody will be expected to turn left
and follow the track – I’m sick and tired
of having to run for my life
you just cannot tell what
a motorist will do next.”

Buffalo Lil will be campaigning for a
a proper bus service and that includes
a school bus and a ban on all street parking
“And that includes those mothers
who jam the streets outside schools
every other day of the week,” she says.

She wants the harbour restored to its former glory
“I would rather have that wreck back in place,”
she says, “Than the concrete monster
they have constructed which I think is
an absolute disgrace.”

“And as for that four storey block of flats
they are planning to erect at the harbour
alongside a broken sewers line
we don’t need it,” says Buffalo Lil.
“and we don’t need the rats that use it.”
